While chatting with my friend Juls, a talented mark-marker artist from Singapore, we discussed the possibility of her doodling on my new Crocs for an upcoming exhibition. Inspired by the conversation, I thought of creating my own digital art using After Effects, but I quickly realised it would be a painstaking endeavour.

This led me to explore alternative software options, and that's when TouchDesigner and reaction-diffusion came to mind. On the same night, I developed a simple node that combines noise, level, and feedback to generate captivating patterns reminiscent of chemical reactions. The outcome I achieved was truly satisfying, and it feels like a perfect way to showcase these visuals in exhibitions.
